Tip of the week!

Posted by Andrew Takala on

This week we are going to focus on chipping.

For any amateur golfer it can be very difficult when faced with chip shot over a bunker or hazard, especially if there is a tight pin. The first step is to determine your landing area. If the trouble is between you and the flag make sure the landing area is well past the hazard. You are going to want to pick an area near the middle of the green so if any mishits happen you will avoid the stroke penalty or hitting from a bunker. Forget where the flag is just focus on getting the ball on the green. This is a tip that is sure to work for any beginner and help you shoot lower scores!

I suggest trying out the Sklz Quickster Chipping Net as it will help you improve on hitting those target landing areas!
